     Note: This takes place right after the episode “Rejected by a home far away” and continues with it’s own plotline with a few new characters and the elimination of some rather annoying characters < Such as Relena and Hilde are hanging at the moment (rubs hands together)> Sorry I seem to hate those two characters. < Laughs nervously and sees and angry Catherine heading towards her> Ah Ha I found her finally . Well finally on to the actual story.

Hikaru's Saga Part 1

The Great Destroyer Meets Destruction

    Hikaru Yuy blocked yet another attack with her fencing sword. Boy was he good she hadn’t been able to launch an offensive yet. And this put her to a disadvantage. But with a toss of her head she launched her surekill. She swung sword directly on top of his with such force that his sword shattered. She then pinned her opponent to the ground in one fluid motion. The boy took off his fencing helmet and looked at her his face incredulous.

    “You beat me!” he exclaimed. The girl sighed and removed her helmet. Shaking her long blond hair she spoke to him.

    “What did you expect?” she said holding out her hand to him. He took it and she pulled him up.

    “Nothing less,” he replied cupping her chin in his hand and bringing her head to his. Hikaru’s light blue eyes widened in surprise then closed as she savored his kiss. She rarely had time alone with Li and she wasn’t about to waste what she had. As if on cue the intercom went off with its usual beep. They broke the kiss and Hikaru cursed.

    “Damn, it’s as if Zechs knows or something,” she said walking to the panel and activated it. “Hikaru here,” she said and Zechs’s voice filled the intercom.

    “Hikaru I want you and Li to report to my office immediately,” he said and the link was terminated.

    “Wonder what he’s calling us for now.” Li said looking at Hikaru while playing with a lock of her hair.

    “I guess we’ll find out,” she said shaking her head causing Li to lose grip on her hair. They then walked to the lift and punched in the necessary codes for Zechs office and then resumed their passionate kiss.

    Duo Maxwell care fully made his way through the colonies records and files. He had to get himself enrolled in Yugi Academy so he wouldn’t be noticed as much. He was really starting to wish he had Heero’s hacking skills when he broke through.

    “Yes I’m in,” he whispered to himself as he quickly enrolled. He then headed for his friends shower. He had a feeling he would need it. His friend looked after him as he left, shook his head and continued his work wondering when Duo would grow up.

    Zechs looked up as the lift stopped and the couple stepped off blushing brightly. Zechs sighed. He really didn’t want to split up such a good team but they were falling in love and he couldn’t allow that. Not at this stage in the game anyway. He forced a small smile and turned to the couple.

    “I have a mission for you two,” he said. Hikaru looked hopeful,

    “Together?” she asked. Zechs shook his head.

    “No, Li will be at Romefeller trying to dig up some info on what their plans are,” Li nodded and Zechs continued.

    “And you Hikaru will be tracking down this young man.” He swiveled his computer around so Hikaru could get a good look.
Hikaru to say the least was not impressed.

    “What’s so great about him?” she asked looking at the picture and bio. “He looks harmless to me.” Zechs gave her a piercing look,

    “This boy happens to be a Gundam pilot.” Hikaru looked up.

    “Oh,” was all she said, “But why can’t Li come with me?” she questioned. Zechs was getting angry now

    “Because he needs to get the plans out of Romefeller so we can launch our offensive on them. Understood?” they nodded. “Good now get ready for your mission.” She carefully left the angering Zechs who was now arguing with Li.

    “Oh well better get ready,” she thought while pressing in the codes needed to activate the lift and stepped inside and disappeared.
Zechs watched Hikaru leave. He smirked then pulled his gun out from a drawer in his desk. He aimed it at Li before speaking

    “I’m sorry Li but you’ve gotten to close to Hikaru for your own good,” he paused, “I’ve told you that I need Hikaru at her best for this war and now you’ve crossed the barrier that kept you alive… I’m sorry.” he pulled the trigger and watched Li fall, dead before he hit the ground. Zechs carefully called a servant to clean up the mess he had made and began to type on his laptop.

    Hikaru looked around her room trying to figure out what to bring. She had already picked out the basics such as clothes, etc. and now she was looking at her choice of weapons.

    “What to bring what to bring,” she wondered aloud. She picked a standard gun with a silencer, her surveillance equipment, a laptop, and of course a picture of her and Li together. She turned back to her weapons and then proceeded to pickup a pair of daggers. She carefully grabbed a few extra bullet Magazines. She then snapped her fingers in realization and walked into another room. Once there she began picking up assorted manga such as Codename Wa Sailor V, a bunch of Sailor Moon manga from all the seasons, Silent Mobius, Fishigi Yugi, Martian Successor Nadesico, Revolutionary Girl Utena, and Slayers. Satisfied she packed all of these into her duffel before going back to the weapons room and picked up a Kata blade

    “No use falling behind,” she said. While grabbing a white Kendo Kimono
    “Is there anything you’re not prepared for?” he said to her.

    “Not really… what’s up?” she replied. He turned to her suddenly serious.

    “I’m just here to warn you that some of the best Treize officials are in space right now.” Hikaru turned to him.

    “Such as?” she asked. “Well there’s Saria Barton, Lady Une, and Kirabi Winner but outside of that we’re safe.” Hikaru turned smiling.

    “Don’t worry about it I’m friends with Saria and Kirabi so we should be ok.” Zechs straightened up, “

    I hope so,” he replied, “Well you should go you have a shuttle to catch,” Hikaru jumped up grabbed her bags and ran for it. Zechs chuckled, “Not that soon though.”

    Hikaru walked off the airplane and towards a limo. The chauffer immediately took her stuff and opened the door for her. She quietly got in settled herself with a soda and waited for what she called slow technology to get moving. As they were driving out of the airport she turned around and watched as a large ‘package’ was put into a nearby hanger. She smiled then whispered,

    “Later Zero,” before the car turned a corner and was out of sight.

    Duo unpacked his stuff in his new room. Setting his new set of uniforms in the closet near the window. Turning back towards his suitcases on the bed he looked out the window.

    “Well what have we here,” he said leaning out the window to get a better look. It was a beyond gorgeous girl. With long golden tresses and light blue eyes, she was definitely a catch. The girl turned her head upwards and looked at him. He nearly fell out the window. Her eyes were as cold as ice, and to add to it she had the same look Heero usually had. It was the I’m gonna kill you look. Duo gulped and went back to his bed. He had finished unpacking. So he put the suitcases under his bed. Flopping down on his bed he stretched out and yawned, then looked at his watch. With a yelp he jumped up and ran for his uniform. Quickly slipping it on he ran out of the door and down the hall. Sliding down the stairs he quickly ran down another hall and ran through another door and ran down to his row and sat in his seat. His new friend Travis turned around to face him.

    “What you do sleep in?” he asked. Duo shook his head,

    “Nah I was unpacking,” he replied. The bell rang and Travis turned back around in his seat. The teacher walked out and smiled at her silent students.

    “Class, we have a new student today,” she said as the blonde stepped on to the platform. “Would you please introduce yourself,” the teacher said. The girl nodded

    “Hikaru Yuy, it’s a pleasure,” she said and as if to back up that she was happy, she smiled but the smile did not reach her eyes. Duo visibly stiffened, ‘Did she say Yuy or was I imagining things?’ Duo smacked his forehead ‘don’t be stupid Maxwell there is no way in Hell that girl is related Heero. There’s just no way.’ The teacher spoke up, “Hikaru would you please take a seat next to Travis and feel free to ask him any questions you might have.” Hikaru nodded and walked up to Travis’s row and sat down next to him. Travis turned to her,

    “Hi Hikaru I’m Travis how do you like school,” he said. Hikaru ignored him and appeared to be paying close attention to the teacher but that was impossible considering her eyes were closed. Duo gulped yet again.
Hikaru smiled to herself, ‘looks like I found you my prey,’ she thought,

    “and now it won’t be long until I can go back to earth and Li,” she sighed. It had only been a day and already she missed him terribly, ‘oh well I will live with out him,’ she grinned, ‘for now.’ She then finally turned to Travis,

    “When does class let out?” she asked him. The stupid boy seemed beyond happy that she was talking to him, but she couldn’t understand why if there were other pretty girls here why bother with her?

    “Around eleven why?” he replied. She smiled at him,

    “Just curious,” Travis smiled back,

    “Oh,” he replied. ‘My aren’t we sharp with words,’ Hikaru thought before looking at her watch. It was ten-thirty that meant about another half hour to go. She leaned forward on to her desk; this was going to be hard. ‘The teacher is boring I’m sitting next to a complete idiot and on top of it all my prey is sitting behind me.’ The last thought sent a tiny chill up her spine. ‘What if he knows I’m after him,’ she thought, but then she brushed it aside, the odds of him being that smart was low, so low that she didn’t have to worry about it. She quietly slipped her hand down into her satchel and pulled out her Sailor Moon S manga and started reading it. She was just getting to the good part when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning she came face to face with Duo,

    “What?” she asked not bothering to hide her annoyance.
Duo just smiled back and said gleefully,

    “You shouldn’t be reading those in class you know.” Hikaru glared at him,

    “Your point,” she replied. Her voice was like liquid silk and no matter how cold it sounded it was still irresistible, ‘Pull yourself together Maxwell,’ he thought.

    “My point is that I might just be forced to tell on you,” he said. Hikaru scowled,

    “Go ahead see if I care,” was Hikaru’s reply. ‘Just like Heero,’ he thought. Duo decided to change the subject, “So Hikaru do you know a Heero Yuy?” he asked. Hikaru nodded,

    “Yah he’s my dumb brother,” she replied. As though it were far away he heard the bell ring as he slipped away into nothingness.
